Clinical Neuropsychology Faculty Position
The mission of Johns Hopkins Medicine is to improve the health of the community and the world by setting the standard of excellence in education, research and clinical care. The Division of Medical Psychology at the JHU School of Medicine is recruiting for one adult focused early or early-to-mid career clinical neuropsychologist to join our team and support this tripartite mission.
Housed in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the Division of Medical Psychology has an enduring commitment to the care of patients with medical, neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders. Our six full-time clinical neuropsychologists have programmatic relationships with numerous clinics within JH. These include clinical referral streams as well as research collaborations spanning Geriatric Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery (e.g., the Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, and Cerebral Fluid Centers), the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, and the JH Transplant Service among others. We are particularly interested candidates possessing clinical and research expertise in pre- and post-operative neurosurgical evaluations as well as those with areas of expertise that complement and expand upon our team’s existing strengths.
Successful candidates for this tenure-track position will possess strong academic skills and evidence of scholarly productivity as well as a desire to collaborate within and across disciplines. The Division and larger Department are dedicated to the development of our junior faculty and offer a range of resources designed to facilitate their academic success. The candidate is expected to have well-developed clinical skills and a commitment to providing evidence-based care to patients of diverse backgrounds. The faculty member will be expected to provide clinical and research training to fellows in our post-doctoral residency program as well as medical residents and fellows. They will also have the opportunity to supervise research staff and staff psychometrists.
Minimum qualifications include a PhD or PsyD from an APA/CPA-accredited program in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or a related area of Health Service Psychology as well as completion of at least two years of formal postdoctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology. Candidates must be licensed or license eligible in Maryland. They must also be board certified, or eligible for certification by ABPP/ABCN.
Johns Hopkins is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
