Leading Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Website Place of Mind P.C.

A boutique ADHD/ASD practice

Job description
Founding Lead Pediatric NeuropsychologistBoutique ADHD & Autism Specialty Practice – Columbus Circle, NYC

Place of Mind P.C. is a boutique child and adolescent psychiatry practice located at Columbus Circle in New York City. We are building a highly focused, quality-driven center for comprehensive ADHD and Autism evaluations and are seeking a Founding Lead Pediatric Neuropsychologist to help shape and lead this effort.

Founded by a Harvard-trained child and adolescent psychiatrist, the practice is grounded in intellectual rigor, thoughtful formulation, and seamless integration of evaluation and treatment. Our aim is to create a premier NYC hub where complex neurodevelopmental presentations are assessed with precision and care — without fragmentation or long waits.

We serve children and adolescents ages 4–18 presenting with complex neurodevelopmental profiles across ADHD, ASD, learning differences, and co-occurring conditions.

This is not a volume-based role. It is a foundational leadership opportunity within a growing, high-functioning clinical environment.

The Role

As Founding Lead Pediatric Neuropsychologist, you will:

Conduct comprehensive ADHD and ASD evaluations (initially 4–6 per month, expanding organically and collaboratively as the program develops)
Independently administer and interpret the ADOS-2
Perform cognitive, academic, and executive function testing
Produce clear, well-organized, high-level diagnostic reports
Collaborate closely with the founding psychiatrist in integrated case discussions
Play an active role in shaping clinical standards and the long-term development of the evaluation program
You will have autonomy over testing batteries and report structure within a collaborative framework.

Qualifications

Licensed (or license-eligible) PhD or PsyD in New York (New Jersey a plus)
Strong training in pediatric neuropsychology
Independent ADOS-2 administration and interpretation
Experience with cognitive, academic, and executive function assessment
Excellent report writing and differential diagnostic skills
Interest in long-term collaboration and practice development
Compensation & Growth

We are committed to investing in the right long-term colleague.

Base compensation begins at $200,000, with realistic total annual earnings in the $220,000–$250,000+ range depending on structure and caseload. Additional earnings potential exists beyond this range based on caseload and structure.

As the psychological division grows, there is an opportunity for:

Leadership development
Influence over clinical standards and service offerings
Participation in strategic expansion.
Exploration of structured partnership pathways after an initial period of mutual fit and growth
We are building something enduring and are seeking someone who wants to grow with it.

What We Offer

📍 Prime Columbus Circle location
🏥 Established psychiatry referral base with consistent demand
🌿 Calm, high-functioning clinical environment
⚖️ Sustainable, quality-first evaluation pace
📅 Predictable schedule with 3–4 weeks PTO
🛠️ Administrative and referral support
🤝 Commitment to work-life balance
🧠 A collaborative, intellectually serious clinical culture
What We Value

Clinical precision paired with warmth. Intellectual rigor balanced with relational depth. Reliability, humility, and a genuine desire to build something meaningful over time.

If you are seeking a stable, collaborative clinical home where your expertise is respected, your leadership is welcomed, and your long-term growth is supported — we would welcome your application.
