McLean Hospital, America’s top ranked freestanding psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for a full time Staff Neuropsychologist in the Neuropsychology department located in Belmont, MA.

The Neuropsychology Department at McLean Hospital offers comprehensive outpatient evaluations across the lifespan. In addition, we offer consultation evaluation services to all inpatient and residential programs. As such, the primary clinical responsibilities for the Staff Neuropsychologist will include maintaining a regular outpatient clinic schedule of adult/geriatric evaluations, to include neuropsychological and/or psychodiagnostic evaluations, as well as responding to inpatient and residential program consultation requests. Referral questions cover a full spectrum, ranging from neurodegenerative disorders, developmental disorders, primary psychiatric disorders, personality disorders, and academic evaluations. Staff members will also have regular supervision responsibilities for post-doctoral fellows, practicum students, and training of psychiatry residents. Adjunct research opportunities are available dependent upon the area of interest and availability. Extensive didactic programming is offered through McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School and CEUs are available on a regular basis.

Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts medical license and being board certified/board eligible.


  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology from an accredited school of psychology.
  • Core training and fellowship experience in neuropsychology is required, including psychodiagnostic evaluations.
  • Board-certified or eligible for board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology.
  • Outpatient experience is required. Inpatient consultation experience is preferred.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Experience supervising graduate-level practicum students and post-doctoral fellows is preferred, but not required.
  • Interest in contributing to programmatic research or developing an independent program of research is preferred, but not required.
